FAQ
Here are the answers to questions that frequently come up about drains and gutters.
What areas do we cover?
We have fully trained drainage engineers covering Kent, Surrey, Sussex and South London, so you can be guaranteed a quick response for drain emergencies.
How long will it take to unblock a drain?
It is hard to give a guarantee on the length of time required to clear a blocked drain until the engineer inspects the drain, but most drains can normally be unblocked within the hour.
If I am buying a new house, should I have a CCTV drain survey?
It is always good to have as much information as possible on a prospective house purchase. If you have been told by the seller that a property has had previous issues with the drains, a CCTV drain survey is the best way of flagging any potential drainage problems, as well as giving you and the seller an idea of how much it may cost to repair.
Why do drains get blocked?
The most common reason for a blocked drain is the wong items being flushed down the toilet or grease and fat going down the kitchen sink. Sometimes though, a blocked drain can indicate a more serious issue such as a cracked drain.
What should be flushed down the toilet?
The only things that should go down your toilet are the "Three Ps - Pee, Poo and Paper".
Why choose a checkatrade approved drainage company?
Referrals from family and friends are often good. But what if they don't know anyone? What if there was a website that would check and verify customer reviews for you? Well there is, checkatrade. Checkatrade verify and check up to 50% of all reviews.
